Here’s a common sense law for our emotional health. As we behold we become changed” What we see, think or dwell on has an effect on us. Contemplating the memory of a quiet sunset or a lazy day at the beach can affect the body’s response to stress. This kind of reflection can decrease the pulse rate and alter the blood pressure. The opposite is also true. Looking at the bad makes us feel poorly inside. Also what we continually behold in our life can become habit forming. A person who always sees the good in things has a hard time seeing the bad, and is more likely to feel good and satisfied with life. Those who constantly see the bad often feel stressed and upset. I’ve heard it put it this way, “what gets the mind, gets you” Remember-“as we behold we become changed.” Decide how you want to feel and be, and carry that with you through your day. You know “attitude is everything”.
